  • iFile.it

    ifileit.JPG

iFile.it is a free service that you can use to send large files when your email provider won't let you cope with a simple email message. You can send as many files as you want in a day and each file can be large up to 1GB. Registration is not needed to use the service.

To transfer your files using iFile.it, simply select them on your computer and then click on “Upload”. Don't worry if your connection gets lost in the process, as the service supports resumable uploads. When the upload is completed, iFile.it will generate both a short and a full URL link that you can pass along to the people you want to download your file. Please note that your transferred files will be stored for up to one week if they are bigger than 100MB, and for up to one month if they are below 100MB.

  • Snaggys

    snaggys-2.jpg

Snaggys is a web hosting service that transfers files that are way too large to be sent through a standard email message. Specifically, Snaggys can send up to two files at a time, large 500MB each. Registration is mandatory to use the service, but once you sign-up for a premium account (2.5GB/maximum file size - $6/1 mo., $8/3mo., $12/6mo., $24/12mo) you can expand your file size upload capacity, send up to five files simultaneously and also choose among other ways to send your files besides the standard HTML form.

To transfer your files, select what you want to transfer on your computer and start the upload. When that is complete, Snaggys will create a link that you can share with your recipients via e-mail or in any other way you want.

Each option offers you a 2GB uploading limit per day and, if you choose to register, you'll get 20 GB of free storage space.
